Students should keep in mind that examination is not a mechanical work to be done by it is a very good parameter for a student to guage his / her academic performance. Equal importance has to be given to the final examinations and also to the exams and tests conducted by the college or departments. Examination only helps in reducing the burden on the students. Students are advised to study their syllabus day-to-day or regularly so that they dont strain themselves at the time of their final examinations.
The college conducts mid-term exams during November and pre-finals in February. Attendance in these exams is compulsory and securing a minimum of 50% marks is mandatory. Any student who does not secure the required percentage will not be issued his hall-ticket for the university exams.
It is not advisable for a student to write improvement exams, as his current year study would be affected. We at the college are making efforts to remove the mental block of a student as regards the improvement exams. He would be educated on the ill effects of writing improvements gradually the September syndrome would be disquelled among the students. Any student having 65-70% of marks in his / her final exams is advised to abstrain from writing improvements examinations. As this activity may effect their current academic year.
It is up to the students to ensure that they do not have any backlogs as they tend to add more strain on the students. Students should see to it that they pass all their subjects in their current academic year.
