Introduction of uniforms is yet another dynamic initiative taken up by the Institute. It spells discipline and oneness and inculcates a sense of accountability. Our students in regular denim blue jeans, white full-sleeves shirt, white sport shoes and sporting an ID card reflect the eurhythmic harmony of the Institute.
An innovative endeavour at Aurora, the Student Handbook is designed to provide students with a detailed account of the academic curriculum, administrative regulations, evaluation procedures and the detailed academic schedule. The study plans give an idea about the scope and the optimum time requirement for thorough preparation of the subject. It helps students organize study schedules around the various activities planned throughout the year. This user-friendly book guides the student through the teaching-learning processes of the institute.
Apart from providing a platform for students to express their creative potential, Tarang, the college newsletter encapsulates the various activities of the institute.
The institute celebrates important national festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day; and religious festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Vasanth Panchami etc.
We care for the students’ well-being, both their personal and academic concerns are addressed under the ‘Teacher-guardian’ scheme. Support is also offered to the slow learners. The innovative concept of the learning groups help students in completing the various academic tasks. Thus the teaching-learning processes and the cohesive work culture complement each other.
Students and staff participate in programs of social importance by organizing Blood Donation Camps, AIDS and Health Awareness camps, adoption of Parvathapur village school and conducting computer literacy classes for school children through a very active NSS cell.
The students are encouraged to participate actively in the Management of the Institute. The student council aims at a better rapport between students and the college administration. It also provides a platform for the students to discover and hone their managerial skills.
